Summary: To consider the little-studied issue of the state of the clergy of the Kola deanery of the Arkhangelsk Diocese in the fi rst quarter of the XIX century, information from the revision tales compiled in 1816 is brought in for the fi rst time. This valuable informative source, which has a consolidated character, has been preserved in the National Archive of the Republic of Karelia. Based on the data of the seventh revision, the small composition of the parish clergy of the Kola deanery is revealed and the practice of transferring church positions to relatives along direct and lateral lines, traditional for previous centuries, is detected. This indicates the preservation of the importance of family ties in the formation of the clergy in this district in the fi rst quarter of the XIXth century. According to the evidence of the revision tales about the sacred and ecclesiastical clergy of the Kola deanery, representatives of different generations of ancient spiritual dynasties, which began to take shape in the fi rst quarter of the XVIIIth century, were part of its rural clergy. There is social mobility within the clergy, which allowed clerical sons to be ordained to the priesthood after receiving special education in diocesan educational institutions. Unique personal information about full-time and minor clerics can be used to study the genealogy of the provincial clergy and create a prosopographic database of parish priests and clerics of the Kola North.
