Summary: For the first time, an analytical review of scientific works devoted to the history of the publishing of Russian emigration in interwar Finland is given. Previously, this topic was not the subject of research. Articles from publications inaccessible to the Russian reader are introduced into scientific circulation. Goals and objectives of the study: to provide a scientific review of existing publications on this topic, to substantiate their role and significance in the development of national emigration studies. The tendentiousness of the authors is proved and the features of the presentation of the material are revealed. The main directions of research are identified. The circle of leading specialists working on this topic is designated, their main publications are analyzed. The most important areas of research are characterized. The progress in the study of the problems achieved over the past thirty years is shown. The main gaps and unexplored topics are identified, promising directions in the study of the history of the book business of Russian emigrants in Finland are identified. It is shown that most of the studies are devoted to the study of the “metropolitan” press and the publishing houses of Russian emigrants (in Helsinki), and not the “provincial” ones (in other towns of Finland). The main advantages and disadvantages of scientific papers in which the topic under study is mentioned are analysed. The question is raised about new promising topics and directions for study.
