Summary: The problem of the parts of speech transitivity has always been in the center of linguists’ attention. The peculiarity of the participle as a part of speech lies in its dual grammatical nature and ability to combine features of averb and an adjective. Universalization composites are complex names, the meaning of which is identical to the derivative word combination. The aim of this article is to describe onomasiological and structural models of universalization composites containing participle as a component. The relevance of the research is determined by the existence of mul- tiple directions of studying the participles’ meaning, as well as by the complexity of distinguishing all composites con- taining participles. The work originality is determined by the first attempt to describe the universalization composites in the structural and onomasiological aspects. The material for the analysis was extracted by the method of continuous sampling from Internet sources and the National Corpus of the Russian language. It was established that the stated nominative units are realized within two onomasiological bases, namely “action” and “state”; five onomasiological fea- tures – distributive, object, status, transgressive and factitive – are observed. Structurally, universalization composites are represented by a combination of participles with nouns and adjectives. The description of composites in structural terms allows us to identify two varieties of constructions which include a participle, the only difference between them being the numerical characteristic of the dependent name. The future prospects of the scholarly research are seen in studying derivational composites and quasi-composite constructions, whose structure may include participles
