Summary: The article examines the study of insufficiently studied activities of the press of Karelia, associated with
the formation of ideological discourse during the Great Patriotic War. On the basis of an analysis of archival documents
and newspaper materials included in scientific circulation for the first time, the problem of using by the local press of
the potential that was created in the pre-war years as a result of the Cultural Revolution is considered. The aim is to
analyze the tools of the press involved in the formation of the ideological discourse of wartime and their role in
mobilizing the population of the frontline territory of Karelia. The tasks characterizing the press system of Karelia
during the war and the activities of journalists, as well as the results of the use of ideological discourse at the initial stage of the war, are being solved. The method of discourse analysis is used to study the content of newspaper publications. The study opens up the possibility of fundamental study and preparation of a monograph on the history of the press of Karelia during the war period. |
