Summary: The paper deals with the specific grammatical categories and constructions used in the Zaonezhye dialect and some its subdialects: noun and verb forms, nominative and genitive object constructions, dialect affirmative clauses with genitive subject and negative clauses with nominative subject, and perfect constructions. The influence of the phonetic dialect features on its grammatical system is mentioned. The most peculiar features are nominal formation (endings of adjectives, such as taka zhiz’n’) and verb formation (unconnected forms, such as on znat – oni znayut’); syncretism of cases (u sestry – k sestry – o sestry); syntax of case forms (voda nosit’; zdynut’ samovara; raboty yest’ – rabota net); competition of non-conjugated verb forms (on ushedshi – u nego uydeno; ya vyuchivshis’ – ya vyuchenas’). The main syntactic differences of the Zaonezhye dialect are related to the variability of the expression of the subject and the object of action, as well as the synonymy of perfect participial and participial constructions.
