Summary: The undertaken analysis of the syntagmatic deconstruction is based on the structural and modal aspects. The chosen approach to
the material opens the opportunity to describe the grammar features of the text fragments with the syntagmatic decomposition in
the aspect of the author’s intention. Syntagmatic decomposition is turned out to be a part of the conceptual intention of the author.
Moreover, the short story superphrasal structure is hierarchically structured. The hierarchy is based on the degree of the syntactic link
means explicitness and the size of the fragments with the syntagmatic decomposition. Thus, оn the highest level of the hierarchy are
the syntagmatically decomposed fragments explicating the ideas that the reader had to interpret on the other levels. So the author’s intention is to activate the reader’s sense through the decomposed structure perception and interpretation. |
