Summary: The article deals with the distinctive features of the concept of poetic image, characterizes the stability of poetic images in the aspect
of comparing approaches to the study of stable poetic images in Philology. The subject of this article is a comparison of similar terms
to refer to stable images that reflect various aspects of the study of this object in literary studies and linguistics: motive, image-symbol,
keywords, “paradigm of images”, “poetic formula”, “conceptual metaphor”, “poetic phraseology”. The main attention is paid to the
problem of the study of stable poetic images in the framework of the theory of invariance and paradigm of images. As a result of the
research it is established that the figurative paradigm and poetic form are universal abstract models based on the associative connection
of distant concepts and phenomena. The structure of this model has a binary character: subject of image and subject-image; the
left term of the paradigm – what is identified, the right term-that with which the comparison takes place, the denotate – word – image
and other. Figurative paradigms and poetic formulas are revealed in the intertextual relations of literary works. However, the poetic
formula have the archetypical metaphorical nature, thematically restricted to the axiological aspects of being human and involves the
cognitive realization. Poetic phraseology is a linguistic form of realization of figurative paradigms at the level of word combination.
The method of analysis of the the figurative paradigm and intertextual analysis of the poetic formulas of enable opportunity for the
researchers to trace the paths of the formation and further evolution of the poetic images, the common, stereotypical and individual in the poetic oeuvre of one or several authors to reconstruct individual and collective poetic picture of the world. |
