philosophical lyric poetry by Yuri Linnik in the 1960s
Summary: The paper analyses the philosophical lyric poetry of Yuri Linnik using two collections of his poems: The Prelude (1966) and The Harmony (1969). It is about the poet’s search for inner harmony, uniting the past and the present, and eventually finding this harmony, in his own words, “in the North, taken as one of the most complex categories of Russian history, Russian language and Russian nature”.
