Summary: The article offers the author’s typology of linguo-axiological markers identified in the collection of
paremias of the French, Russian, and Tuvan languages. The importance of the studied issue is conditioned by the need to uncover the features of the linguistic representation of axiological marking in the paremiological funds of languages with different structures reflecting different types of cultures. Understanding these features is essential for improving
translation practices and intercultural communication, as well as clarifying the terminological apparatus of axioparemi-
ology. The aim of the article is to present a typology of paremic linguo-axiological markers and to identify universal and
specific components in their functioning in languages with different structures. The primary data consists of the card
index of French, Russian, and Tuvan paremias, compiled by the author through sampling from authentic paremiograph-
ic sources. To analyze the data, the study employs descriptive-analytical and comparative-contrastive methods, along
with component, semiotic, and contextual analyses, supplemented by quantitative processing techniques. The set of
linguo-axiological markers encompasses units across different language levels, exhibiting a core-peripheral structure.
The degree of concentration and diversity of compatibility of different types of markers in paremias is an indicator of
the importance of values in the linguistic consciousness of different ethnic groups. The author’s methodology, tested on materials from three selected languages representing different culture types, can be applied to other linguistic material in the process of identifying value dominants and means of their linguistic representation. |
