Summary: This article analyzes the early twentieth-century publications of poet V. V. Borodaevsky titled “On Tragedy in Christianity” and “On the Religious Truth of Konstantin Leontiev”. The studied socio-philosophical and religious dimensions of the teachings of the prominent Russian thinker, writer, and publicist K. N. Leontiev significantly influenced the development of Borodaevsky’s personality. In his works, Borodaevsky sought to establish the patterns in K. N. Leontiev’s evolution and life journey while highlighting the coherence of his ideas and expressed his own unique opinion, which contributed to the ongoing “dispute about Christian culture”. The relevance of this research is underscored by the growing interest of literary studies in artistic eschatology, metahistory, historiosophy, and apocalypticism. Additionally, Borodaevsky’s lesser-known writings on K. N. Leontiev are crucial not only for comprehending the intricate aspects of the Russian thinker’s original legacy but also for clarifying the worldview stance of poet V. V. Borodaevsky.
