Summary: The author of this article undertakes a summary review of the scientific literature written in various regions of the world and devoted
to the study of the outstanding Chinese writing of the mid-18th century – xylograph of “Huang qing zhi gong tu”. The author analyzes
the publications about this monument, published in China, Russia and Western countries. Set the range of major issues raised
by its researchers. Those aspects of the monument that are little-studied or have not yet been affected by experts are identified. At
the same time the author characterizes the prospects for further study of this woodcut block-print. Special attention is paid to the
search for translations of its fragments into foreign languages. The undertaken review of world studies in xylograph has shown that
its degree of knowledge is currently at a low level. In Russia, this xylograph is known, but little studied. The publications available
in European languages are few in number and, as a rule, relate indirectly. Special publications addressed to topics directly related to the history of contacts between specific states and peoples with China. The xylograph is best studied in Chinese science, but there
are also unexplored topics. |
