Summary: The article is devoted to the study of the process of decomposition of the body of a large animal (domestic pig Sus scrofa domesticus L.). The work was carried out in conditions of natural biocenoses of the north of the European part of Russia. The change in the tissues of objects during their decomposition, the role of necrobionts involved in the destruction of organic material, is analyzed. In all cases, several stages of decomposition have been identified, and it has been established that the change in tissues characteristic of each of them leads to a well-expressed successive colonization of necrophilous insects. The traced sequence of corpse destruction is applicable only to bodies that have access to this group of animals. |
