Summary: The ratio of language, thinking and culture is one of linguistic subjects, relevant throughout many years. The research is devoted to comparison of one of elements of the speech etiquette of the Rus-sian and English languages reflecting different ethnic, cultural and language installations. The ratio of such concepts as speech etiquette and politeness, in the context of their ethnic specificity, inclusiveness in a language picture of the world is considered. The world of languages is understood as association of people for friendship and cooperation, as war - language and cultural barriers, barriers which are put by language and culture. In this regard in article features of communicative behavior of foreign (English) students which annually come to the Petrozavodsk state university on a language training according to the RLUS program, in comparison to communicative behavior of the Russian students in one of standard situations of daily communication are described. The data received during the poll of respondents in 2011 - 2017 on the basis of which conclusions about ethnic and cultural differences in perception by the English and Russian students of an identical communicative situation are drawn are used. Methods of the semantic and lexicographic analysis are used. The relevance of a research is caused by need of studying of the concept which is recently introduced into linguistic circulation national style of communication.
