Summary: The article deals with the poetics of R. Mustonen short stories in the context of modern women writing. It shows how the women tradition of narration is transformed in the writer's creative work: the traditional plot about woman search for love is reinterpreted determining the special features of the poetics: plotting, using a complex of stable motifs (escape, flight, etc.), the space-time organization of the text, symbolism, comic elements. The notion about the nature of women's searches become more complicated. The analysis is based on the stories written in 1990-2000 and the author's conversation with R. Mustonen.
