Summary: The article is devoted to the problem of mobility of research units and scientific expeditions in the 1920s on the Kola Peninsula. In
the conditions of weak functioning of the railway communication between the central and remote areas of the country, the lack of
infrastructure, domestic and social comfort in the places of expeditions, the participants of the expeditions need to maintain mobility
and carry out scientific work. The problem is considered on the example of geological and mineralogical expeditions of the 1920s,
working in the central part of the Kola Peninsula (Central Lapland). Materials were memories of the first trips, exploration and scientific
expeditions of geologists in the 1920s, expeditions essays by A. E. Fersman, journal and newspaper publications, interviews
with local historians and researchers of the scientific heritage of A. E. Fersman. The article examines the practices of mobility of participants in geological expeditions, the involvement of local workers and indigenous people in research transitions, social adaptation and the formation of sociocultural space in the field. |
