Summary: The formation of the Russian scientific style, especially in individual scientific fields, has not been studied enough. An appeal to the style of ethnographic science of the XIX century. is explained by two reasons: firstly, the author of the article is interested in theidiostyle of the famous Russian synologist N. Ya. Bichurin (1777–1853) as a bright representative of ethnographic science of the
XIX century, and secondly, ethnographic works of this time are very popular in Russia, experiencing a high patriotic upsurge, which
ensured the development of comparative works in studies on the culture and way of life of different peoples. These circumstances
ensure the relevance of the topic of the article. On the basis of the fundamental ethnographic work N. Ya. Bichurin “China: Its inhabitants,
customs, custom, enlightenment” (1840), the article is primarily concerned with linguistic means ensuring the dialogical
nature of the scientific text. Bichurin’s sincere respect for China and his culture is also underlined, which provides a special emotionality
to his texts, the evidence and reasoning of his information about the life and life of the Chinese. In the article there is a vivid
dialogicality of many works of N. Ya. Bichurin as a manifestation of a great desire to convey to the Russian reader objective facts about China, its social and cultural uniqueness. This article has signs of research work carried out in the aspect of historical stylistics,
the actual direction of modern Russian linguistics. |
